Charleston Charm

Charleston Charm

In my personal opinion, keeping things simple goes a long long way. All black always looks and feels very chic. (even if everything is super duper affordable, which it is!) Everything in this post is now on MAJOR sale, so definitely check it out. When we were walking the streets of Charleston on our last day, we had to stop in this alley way for an impromptu shoot. The cobblestones and brick buildings and the arching trees made for the perfect spot for some pictures. Thanks to my handsome photographer too!

Sunday On The Battery

Sunday On The Battery

Trench Coat // Sweater // Jeans // Booties // Earring are Bauble Bar, but similar here and here // Purse is an older Kate Spade but this one is very similar and is now on big time sale! // Ray Bans // Watch

One of my favorite/most used items in my closet, is the trench coat, while this particular one was a super affordable, spur of the moment purchase, investing in a more durable, expensive trench coat, is definitely something I would recommend. This Sunday on the the Battery was so picturesque. It was slightly chilly, so layering my J.Crew Factory turtleneck (which is now on clearance!) under this trench coat was the perfect thing. Charleston's southern charm, and beautiful architecture never ceases to impress me. I can't wait to go back!

Sunny Day In Charleston

Sunny Day In Charleston

Jacket is Forever 21, dress is Old Navy, bag is an old Kate Spade found here , scarf is aerie, (and on sale for $20!) necklace and bracelet are from one of my favorite boutiques in the area Pink Pineapple Shop, tights and thigh high socks are Urban Outfitters, (and also on sale!), sun glasses are Ray Bans

This was our first day in Charleston. My right hand man didn't get there till later Friday night so we kept it casual and grabbed a late bite to eat at Charleston Beer Works. The food was just what I needed and we got to listen to some great live music! The next day we were up and at 'em and could not wait to enjoy the beautiful weather. We started the day with some coffee and got an absolutely AMAZING breakfast at Toast. We then walked around enjoying the charm of the South. While the weather felt like spring to me (60 and sunny) it was a little chilly in the shade. A trench really is such a key item to have in your closet. They go with anything and this one left plenty of room to layer underneath. It is also so reasonably priced. This blanket scarf was with me all weekend (I thought the colors went well with the holiday weekend; both patriotic and perfect shade of red for Valentine's day), not to mention it's on sale now with other great colors! We stopped at a great bar we found our last trip to Charleston, The Blind Tiger Pub. This bar has one of the coolest out door area I've ever seen. We spent the majority of our afternoon sitting in the sun, enjoying a few beers and the great atmosphere.  I would HIGHLY recommend this spot to anyone headed to Charleston. More to come of our weekend!
