Navy and Cream

Navy and Cream All Year Long

Boots are old Franco Sarto from TJMaxx but similar  here, Bag is from Target, Sweater is Old Navy Jacket is Old Navy , and striped T underneath is also Old Navy

These photos were actually taken a week or so ago, pre-Juno. I am now currently writing this post from a winter wonderland, which is just so magical. But anyway, I am a found believer that looking, and dressing stylish and nice, should not entail spending thousands of dollars. I like to think that this outfit is a perfect example! We all have our favorite colors we like to wear. Personally the cream-white, and navy sections of my closet, take up the most space in my closet, both in summer, and in the winter. I am just drawn to all things cream; lace, eyelet, chiffon, a big knit sweater such as this one. This sweater has been one of my favorites this winter. It is so soft and cozy, not too fitted but not too too slouchy either. I also love the slight turtleneck. It keeps my neck warm, but not too cumbersome, or restricting. And this tweed coat I bought because it was so reasonably priced, that I could not turn it down, and it has been one of my favorite items to bring a simple out fit a little more style. The best part of this outfit is how affordable it is! everything I have on in this picture is now on major sale! Nothing better than that!

Winter Walks in the City

Happy New Year all!! So this is my first official outfit post, so please bear with me as this is all new to me and I am sort of just learning as I go. If anyone has any pointers for a new blogger, I am all ears! This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to take advantage of the somewhat mild winter weather (which has already changed) and head in town for the evening. We walked around Newbury Street and headed into the Public garden and all along Comm Ave. This J.Crew coat might be my all time favorite. Living in Boston, New England weather, you never know what you might get. While the sun was out in town,  I was perfectly comfortable keeping it unbuttoned. When the sun started to set we headed up to Dorchester heights with our coffees, bundled up, and took in the beautiful views, and fresh crisp air. This pretty little number keeps me warm in the winter, and also transitions perfectly in the early spring months; not to mention the color can brighten up any day. Thanks to my handsome photographer too : ) Happy January!

XO, Sarah
First Post !!

Welcome to The Class of Sass!
My name is Sarah Butler, I am a twenty-something year old living in Boston, still trying to figure out what to do with my life. Things I do know: I love my family, friends, my amazing boyfriend, the city of Boston, traveling, fresh chocolate-chip cookies, long beach days, long runs in the crisp New England temperatures, snow days, and of course clothes. The Class of Sass is a documentation of all those things. I believe the only thing an outfit is meant to do, is make a person feel good; whether that be yoga pants and sneakers (who doesn't love that), or a dress you just had to have. I started this blog after being inspired by the other amazing bloggers out there. My goal is to inspire others and share all my fashion finds and personal style steals. I am no fancy pants super wealthy chippy, so for those of you on a budget (like myself) this is the place for you. Hope you enjoy, and leave feeling chipper and inspired!
